Lady Askari is seeking an experienced Security Operations Advisor to oversee site security operations and provide operational leadership and expert security advice to stakeholders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee day-to-day security operations and provide leadership to security personnel at the client
  • Assess security threats, vulnerabilities and operational risks and recommend appropriate
  • mitigation measures.
  • Coordinate the response to security incidents and emergencies, including investigations, reporting and follow-up.
  • Conduct security inspections, audits and site assessments and ensure identified gaps are
  • Monitor compliance with security procedures, client requirements and applicable regulations.
    Prepare security reports, risk assessments, incident reports and management updates.
    Provide practical security advice and recommendations to the client and internal management.
    Monitor security personnel and service providers against agreed standards and KPIs.
    Support security awareness, emergency preparedness and business continuity activities.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for an experienced security professional with strong operational leadership, sound judgement and the ability to make decisions under pressure. The successful candidate should be:

  • Confident leading security operations and security teams.
  • Strong in security risk assessment, incident management and investigations.
  • Comfortable engaging senior client stakeholders and providing professional advice.
  • Highly organised, analytical and discreet.
  • Able to work independently while exercising sound judgement on when to escalate issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, advisory, or operational leadership
  • Knowledge of security risk assessment methodologies and mitigation strategies
  • Proficiency in incident reporting, security analysis, emergency planning, and crisis response
  • Familiarity with Kenyan security laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and security management software/tools Professional security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, or equivalent) are an added advantage
