Stores Spare Parts Clerk
This position reports to the Supply chain Manager.
Job Purpose: The role holder will ensure accurate management, availability and control of spare parts and materials through
effective physical and system inventory management, reconciliation and timely issuance of spares to user departments.
Overall Responsibility:
- Receive, verify, and record spare parts and materials against LOs and delivery documents.
- Prepare daily reconciliation reports and Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
- Maintain accurate physical and SAP inventory records.
- Process internal requests and issue spare parts to user departments.
- Conduct daily/monthly stock counts and reconcile variances.
- Maintain proper stores documentation and records.
- Monitor stock levels and minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Support training and coaching of new stores personnel.
Qualification and Experience :
- Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Plant Maintenance or related technical field.
- At least a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in spare parts management, stores, maintenance or a similar technical environment in an FMCG industry.
- Practical experience in handling electrical or mechanical machine spare parts and understanding their applications.
- Knowledge of SAP inventory control and stock reconciliation and experience in FMCG/manufacturing will be an added advantage.
