We’re Hiring: Declaration Officer
Location: Mombasa, Kenya

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Declaration Officer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process customs declarations accurately using the ICMS/KENTRADE systems.
- Classify goods using the Harmonized System (HS) Code.
- Ensure compliance with customs laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Liaise with KRA, shipping lines, port authorities, and other government agencies.
- Verify shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Monitor declaration progress and resolve any customs-related issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate declaration records and documentation.
- Coordinate with operations and clients to ensure timely cargo clearance.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Clearing & Forwarding, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customs declaration and clearing operations.
- Strong knowledge of the KRA iCMS system and Kenya customs procedures.
- Excellent understanding of tariff classification, valuation, and customs documentation.
- Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
