Operational since 2011, Sanergy collects and treats over 50,000T of residual organics per year, and successfully sells its agri-inputs to farmers in over 40 counties in Kenya, who see improved yields and increased incomes. Our work is pioneering climate action in Africa – we offset nearly 50,000T of carbon per year and we have big expansion plans to scale this impact. Our goal is to expand across Africa and Asia, safely processing 1,000,000T a year of waste and more than 1,000,000T of carbon emissions offsets per year in the next decade.

How the role contributes to company goals
Emerging Trends (ET) is the BU responsible for identifying and testing new opportunities that could become significant additions to Regen Organics’ portfolio over the next 3-5 years. ET runs this through pilots and projects to validate ideas before they become part of standard operations.
This role supports those concurrent projects by owning tasks that keep them moving.
What are your main responsibilities
Trial & Pilot Execution
- Contribute insights to emerging initiatives beyond standard trial execution – e.g. new measurement methodologies or piloting technology-enabled tools for participant engagement and data collection
- Flag opportunities where new technology or methodology could improve how trials, demos, or field interactions are run
- Set up pilots and trials from scratch
- Identify, recruit, and coordinate with host sites and participants appropriate to each trial’s criteria – including recruiting large numbers of participants where a trial or demo requires scale
- Monitor active sites on a regular schedule throughout the full project cycle, flagging deviations, issues, or practices that could compromise results
- Coordinate stocking and availability of trial products/inputs with local distributors and partners so sites are never held up waiting on supply
- Work across whichever counties have active projects at a given time – currently a mix of Kirinyaga, Nakuru, Nyandarua, and Kakamega – rather than a single fixed county
Data Collection, Analysis & Reporting
- Record trial/demo observations, participant feedback, and site status in a consistent, structured format after each visit
- Maintain accurate spreadsheet logs of site-level and trial-level data across all active sites
- Summarise field findings and flag issues in a written form the Emerging Trends team can act on without visiting the site themselves
- Bring an analytical, strategic lens to reporting – synthesising data across sites into clear, structured reports that surface trends and inform decisions, not just log raw observations
- Interpret and communicate analytical findings clearly, using data to draw evidence-based conclusions, identify potential drivers of results, and highlight implications or recommendations for the wider project team
Stakeholder Relationships & Coordination
- Coordinate directly with field officers, participants, interviewers, and local county contacts to keep site visits on schedule
- Maintain working relationships with host sites, local officials, and field partners relevant to each trial
- Communicate site status and risks proactively to the team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technical, analytical or business related field (required)
- Minimum of 2 years work experience (required)
- Fluency in Swahili and English (required)
- Prior hands-on experience setting up and running structured pilots and trials from scratch, with disciplined monitoring through a full project cycle (preferred)
- Prior experience recruiting and onboarding large numbers of participants at scale
- Strong analytical and data management skills, with the ability to work confidently with spreadsheets and datasets, perform complex analysis, identify trends and relationships, troubleshoot data inconsistencies, and translate findings into clear, decision-useful reports (preferred)
- Prior experience participating in RCT’s
- Nice to have: prior experience in ag-tech, working with smallholder farmers, on digital/data-driven agricultural pilots, and/or on nature-based/soil carbon projects
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple sites/workstreams simultaneously (preferred)
- Willingness and ability to travel to and stay in rural farming areas across multiple counties for extended stretches – location will shift as projects are confirmed, rather than a fixed twice-a-month schedule to one base
