MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN
ENGINEERING | FOOD MANUFACTURING
JOB PURPOSE
Provide reliable, timely and hands-on mechanical maintenance support to keep production machinery, utilities and mechanical systems operating safely and efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns and minimise production disruption.
- Diagnose faults using systematic troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Repair, replace, adjust and modify machinery and mechanical components.
- Execute planned preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication and alignment.
- Maintain production machinery, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes and drives.
- Record breakdowns, repairs, downtime and corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.

- Mechanical troubleshooting and fault diagnosis

- Mechanical fitting, alignment and installations
- Strong safety and food-hygiene awareness
- Teamwork, professionalism and clear communication
- Fabrication and welding experience is an added advantage
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 6 years’ relevant mechanical maintenance experience
- FMCG, food-processing or manufacturing experience preferred
