IT Technical Specialist

. The IT Technical Specialist will provide continuity across a multi-year transformation program, retain institutional knowledge of FIPS Solutions’ specific systems and integrations, reduce long-term reliance on external providers for day-to-day support, and give the Systems & IT function the dedicated capacity and drive new integration work — making full-time hiring option as the better one. The role will provide hands-on technical support and specialist expertise to strengthen FIPS Solutions’ digital ecosystem, working closely with the Systems & IT team and relevant stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Enterprise Systems Architecture, Optimisation & Integration: Support the implementation, optimisation, and integration of core organisational systems, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, Entra ID, NetSuite ERP, HRIS, and other enterprise applications. Support APIs, workflows, authentication, data synchronisation, automation, testing, deployment, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Digital Transformation Projects: Provide technical implementation and coordination support for strategic digital initiatives, including field data collection and reporting platforms, grants and contract management solutions, corporate websites, internal portals, and other organisational technology projects.
  • SharePoint, Microsoft 365 & Business Process Automation: Support the optimisation of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 as organisational collaboration, document management, knowledge management, and automation platforms, including workflows, forms, permissions, governance, and Power Platform solutions.
  • Cloud Infrastructure, Cybersecurity & AI-Enabled Solutions: Support cloud infrastructure, hosting, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, access management, cybersecurity controls, and business continuity. Support the responsible adoption of AI-enabled solutions to improve automation, knowledge management, technical support, and organisational processes.
  • Vendor Coordination, Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Work with technology vendors, consultants, implementation partners, and internal teams to support solution design, testing, implementation, and issue resolution. Maintain technical documentation and provide training and knowledge transfer to strengthen internal systems capability.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ relevant professional experience in systems administration, enterprise applications, technical support, systems integration, or digital transformation.
  • Strong practical experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and Entra ID.
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, cloud services, and business process automation tools.
  • Working knowledge of ERP, HRIS, data management, reporting, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and multi-vendor technology implementations.
  • Strong collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with internal technical teams, business users, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Relevant professional certifications and experience with AI-enabled business solutions will be an added advantage.
