The Finance & Administration Officer supports the Finance & Administration Manager to run a finance and administration function that is accurate, compliant, and ready for audit. The role owns accounts payable end to end. It also supports budgeting, financial reporting, audits, statutory compliance, payroll, cash management, procurement, and general administration. The role is remote, but you must live in Nairobi so you can attend occasional in-person meetings, handle original documents, and deal with local banks, vendors, auditors, and authorities.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • CPA (K) qualification (or ACCA equivalent), or at least CPA Section [4/5] with active progress toward completion.
  • Active or eligible membership of ICPAK (preferred).
  • 2–4 years of finance experience, including hands-on accounts payable, reconciliations, and budget monitoring.
  • Direct experience supporting external audits, including preparing schedules and handling auditor queries.
  • Strong working knowledge of Kenyan tax and statutory requirements (iTax, eTIMS, PAYE, NSSF, SHIF, Housing Levy, VAT, WHT).
  • Proficiency in at least one accounting system, and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, budget models).
