Diesel Engine Maintenance Assistant
• Requirements
- Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of a Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Diesel Mechanics or any other related technical field.
- Basic knowledge of diesel engines, engine components and their functions.
- Ability to identify and use basic mechanical hand tools and maintenance equipment.
- Basic understanding of diesel engine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacement and cleaning.
- Ability to assist in routine engine inspections and preventive maintenance activities under supervision.
- Basic knowledge of engine lubrication, cooling and fuel systems.
- Ability to identify visible engine defects, leaks, unusual noises and other abnormalities and report them to the supervisor.
- Ability to follow maintenance instructions, safety procedures and work permits.
- Basic understanding of oil and gas workshop safety, PPE
- requirements and housekeeping.
- Basic English communication skills and ability to work in a team.
