At ILISAH, we’re building a Kenyan lifestyle brand inspired by wildlife, culture and the incredible work of local artisans.
We’re looking for a Social Media & Marketing Assistant to join our growing team and help us tell the ILISAH story, grow our online community and support our marketing and sales efforts.
What You’ll Do
• Manage our day-to-day social media platforms and community engagement.
• Create and coordinate content for Instagram, LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
• Help develop creative content around our products, artisans, wildlife, behind-the-scenes stories and brand journey.
• Support photography, video and content creation for social media and marketing campaigns.
• Assist with website and e-commerce updates, including product listings and content.
• Support SEO and help improve ILISAH’s online visibility.
• Research and identify potential customers, B2B leads, stockists and marketing opportunities.
• Assist with email marketing and campaigns.
• Support promotions, events, pop-ups and other marketing activities.
• Track social media and marketing performance and help identify what is working.
• Research trends, competitors and new ideas to help ILISAH grow.
What We’re Looking For
• A diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Business or a related field.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Comfortable and confident using social media.
• Creative and able to come up with content ideas.
• Basic knowledge of Canva/Adobe Express, Shopify, Google Docs and Google Sheets.
• An interest in social media, branding, storytelling and e-commerce.
• Organised and detail-oriented.
• Curious and willing to learn.
• Someone who takes initiative and doesn’t always need to be told what to do.
• Able to work independently while also being a good team player.
Previous internship, freelance or hands-on marketing experience is an advantage, but we’re open to someone early in their career who is eager to learn, put in the work and grow with us.
