Role Summary

We are looking for a hands-on and analytical Mechanical Engineer to support the end-to-end development of our electric mobility products, from concept and detailed design through validation, homologation, industrialization and mass production.

The role will focus on vehicle mechanical systems, chassis and body design, engineering analysis, validation and manufacturing integration, working closely with electrical, software, manufacturing, quality and supply chain teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Vehicle & Mechanical Systems

·        Support the design and development of vehicle frame, body, chassis and mechanical systems.

·        Design and integrate components including battery mounts, motor systems, suspension, steering, wheels, tires and braking systems.

·        Apply sound engineering principles to optimize safety, durability, performance, weight and cost.

·        Support material selection and optimization across steel, aluminum, plastics and other materials.

  1. CAD & Engineering Analysis

·        Develop detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings, including GD&T and tolerance analysis.

·        Perform or support FEA/CAE, structural, thermal and kinematic analysis to validate and optimize designs.

·        Apply DFMEA/PFMEA to identify and mitigate design and manufacturing risks.

  1. Validation & Homologation

·        Develop and manage validation for components and vehicle systems.

·        Support physical testing including durability, vibration, impact and environmental testing.

·        Investigate failures and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

·        Support vehicle homologation and regulatory compliance of vehicle systems.

  1. Integration & Industrialization

·        Ensure effective mechanical integration with electrical, battery, software and connectivity systems.

·        Apply DFM/DFA principles and support tooling, jigs, fixtures and production readiness.

·        Support prototype, pilot and mass-production builds, resolving engineering and manufacturing issues.

·        Manage engineering changes and ensure designs are correctly transferred into production.

  1. Supplier & Cross-Functional Development

·        Support technical development and qualification of suppliers for frames, motors, suspension, braking, body and other mechanical components.

·        Work closely with manufacturing, quality, procurement and suppliers to achieve production-ready designs.

·        Participate in design reviews, technical problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

·        Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.

·        5+ years of experience in mechanical/product engineering, automotive, motorcycles, EVs or related industries.

·        Strong proficiency in 3D CAD and engineering drawings/GD&T.

·        Experience with FEA/CAE, and DFMEA/PFMEA

·        Good understanding of manufacturing processes including welding, sheet metal, injection molding, casting and CNC machining.

·        Strong analytical, problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred

·        Experience in EVs, motorcycles, scooters or micro-mobility.

·        Experience with vehicle chassis, frames, suspension, braking or body systems.

·        Exposure to homologation, vehicle dynamics, durability testing or supplier development.

·        Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.

‍

What Success Looks Like

·        Robust, safe and reliable mechanical systems that meet performance and durability requirements.

·        Designs that transition smoothly from prototype to mass production with minimal rework.

·        Successful validation and homologation with minimal late-stage redesign.

·        Effective integration between mechanical, electrical and software systems.

·        Continuous improvement in weight, cost, quality, durability and manufacturability.

·        Strong technical collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
