We are looking for a dynamic, customer-focused and results-driven individual to join our team as a Modern Trade Representative within our commercial department. Individuals who meet the job specifications are highly encouraged to apply.
Modern Trade Representative
The role will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with key modern trade customers including supermarkets, retail chains and other strategic accounts.
Key Responsibility:
- Manage assigned modern trade accounts to achieve sales volume, revenue and distribution targets.
- Drive product availability, visibility, merchandising and execution across assigned outlets.
- Implement trade marketing activities, promotions and agreed visibility initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with modern trade customers and key decision-makers.
- Monitor pricing, stock levels, orders ,product availability and address gaps promptly.
- Conduct regular market visits, competitor checks and provide actionable market insights.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports and performance updates.
- Follow up on orders, deliveries and collections to ensure smooth account operations.
- Achieve agreed sales, distribution and market execution targets within the assigned territory.
- Ensure compliance with companypolicies
Qualification and Experience:
- Degree or A minimum of Diploma in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field. Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in sales, preferably within FMCG or Modern Trade.
- Strong customer relationship management, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, accountability and customer focus.
- Valid driving licence is a MUST and willingness to work within the assigned territory.
