FUNDRAISING & RESOURCE MOBILISATION MANAGER

BACKGROUND
The Kenya Hospices and Palliative Care Association (KEHPCA) is the national association advancing access
to quality palliative care in Kenya.
Established in 2005, KEHPCA brings together hospices, palliative care providers and other stakeholders to
strengthen palliative care through advocacy, capacity building, policy engagement and technical support.
The national association works closely with the Government of Kenya and other partners to promote the integration of palliative care into the health system and improve the quality of life of people living with life-threatening illnesses and their families

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Public Health, Business, Communications or a related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years in fundraising, grants acquisition or resource mobilisation.
• Proven experience developing successful proposals for institutional donors, foundations, UN agencies, bilateral agencies and corporate partners.
• Demonstrated skills in donor mapping, opportunity sourcing, proposal development and pipeline management.
• Experience in the Kenyan health, palliative care or development sector is an advantage.
• Training/certification in fundraising or grants acquisition is an added advantage
