Job Title: WELDING TECHNICIAN
Reports to: Technician Lead
Role: Full time
Location: Nairobi
Stintworks Limited, a medium-sized enterprise, is dedicated to creating safer environments for families and businesses, specializing in child and pet-proofing solutions.
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Welding Technician to fabricate and repair metal structures and components to a high standard of quality and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine welding requirements.
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Are) safely and efficiently.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components to specification.
- Inspect completed work for structural soundness, accuracy, and quality compliance.
- Select appropriate materials, electrodes, and techniques for cach job.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding tools and machinery.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations, including use of protective equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
- Collaborate with production and design teams on fabrication needs.
Requirements:
- Certificate, Diploma, or any tertiary-level qualification in Welding, Fabrication, Metalwork, or a related field is allowed.
- At least 2-3 years of relevant hands-on welding experience.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Are welding techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings and work to precise measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good understanding of workshop safety practices and use of protective gear.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team.
- Previous employment in a formal setting is an added advantage.
