We are currently looking for candidates who demonstrate a high degree of commitment, leadership, flexibility, and initiative to fill the following locum vacancies:

1. LOCUM EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (EMT) OPERATORS- NAIROBI REGION

Overall purpose of the job:

To safely operate the ambulance unit and assist medical personnel in delivering effective pre-hospital emergency care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely drive and operate the ambulance during emergency responses and patient transfers.
  • Assist the paramedic in providing pre-hospital patient care and clinical support.
  • Perform routine vehicle checks, maintenance, and ensure overall roadworthiness.
  • Maintain complete inventory records of vehicle spare parts and emergency equipment.
  • Inspect and ensure all onboard communication systems remain fully operational.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks, maintenance records, and vehicle-related expense receipts.

Qualifications, Experience & Core Competencies

  • Certificate in EMT-Basic or EMT-Intermediate.
    Valid practicing license from the Kenya Council of Emergency Medical Technicians (KEMT).
    Valid Class BCE driving license.
    Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an emergency ambulance operator.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail and situational awareness.
  • Self-motivated team player capable of working under pressure.

2. LOCUM PARAMEDICS- NAIROBI REGION

Overall purpose of the job

To deliver professional, efficient, and high-quality pre-hospital emergency medical care and rescue operations in accordance with established clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide appropriate medical management to patients.
  • Clean, sanitize, and restock the ambulance with required medical supplies, drugs, linen, and stationery.
  • Inspect medical equipment regularly to ensure proper functionality and immediately report or document defects.
  • Conduct shift handovers, test communication radios, and manage incoming radio calls effectively.
  • Report any vehicle defects promptly to ensure operational readiness.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient rescue records and operational logs for every call.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate in EMT-Basic or EMT-Intermediate.
  • Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS.
    Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in emergency rescue operations.
  • Prior clinical experience or specialized certification in ICU or Accident & Emergency (A&E) is highly desirable.
  • ICT literacy and basic computer skills.
  • Exceptional patient care and customer service orientation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a pleasant, professional disposition.
  • Achievement-oriented mindset with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
