Farm Operations & Export Coordinator

This job has been expired
Full Time
Sustainergy Agritech Kenya

We’re building a commercial dragon fruit farm in Konza, Makueni County — with our sights set on EU and Middle East export markets. Now we’re looking for someone sharp, dependable, and great with people to help us get there.
This is a coordination and delivery role — think project management for a growing farm.

You’ll:
• Run the operations of our own farm — scheduling activities and keeping everything on track
• Build relationships with dragon fruit farmers in Kenya and aggregate fruit for export
• Coordinate quality, packing, and the post-harvest flow to meet EU export standards
• Drive GlobalG.A.P. and organic certification paperwork (work together with me)
• Act as the key link between the farm, workers, buyers, and management

Preference will be given to candidates with a background in fresh produce export, horticulture, agribusiness, or perishable supply chains, but not limited. If you understand what it takes to move quality produce from farm to an overseas buyer — and have been near certification, buyer requirements, or export logistics — you’ll have a real head start. You don’t need to be an agronomy expert or have led an export operation yourself, but this is not a first step into the sector. We’re after someone organised, proactive, and reliable — who does what’s agreed, reports back honestly, and grows into more over time.

Nairobi or near Konza (Makueni County), with frequent travel between the two
Early mid-level (2–4 years’ experience)
Full-time, starting on a 3-month probation
