OPEN POSITION:
SENIOR EXECUTIVE-QUALITY CONTROL-HOME AND PERSONAL CARE
LOCATION – KIKAMBALA
What you will do:
- Manage day-to-day laboratory operations and analytical testing from raw materials to finished products.
- Oversee test methods, validation, OS investigations, and root-cause analysis.
- Maintain laboratory instruments, including calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Build analyst competency through training, qualification, and reassessment.
- Ensure GMP, GLP, ALCOA+, CAPA, and audit readiness standards.
- Ensure regulatory, KEBS, NEMA, water and effluent compliance.
- Drive LIMS adoption, quality KPls, resource management, and cross-functional support for product launches and reformulation.
What we need
- Demonstrable, hands-on laboratory management.
- Broad instrument exposure (e.g. HPLC, UV-Vis, GC,FTIR).
- Method validation and the ability to resolve discrepant results to root cause.
- A structured analyst competency assessment and training process.
- Ability to run or govern microbiology, water and NEMA effluent quality.
- At least 5 years in a busy laboratory, including 2+ years supervisory.
- Bachelors degree in Analytical/Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology or a related science.
Preferred
- Contractor commercial testing lab supervisory experience – an ideal background for this role.
- FMCG or chemical manufacturing background.
- Soap and oleochemical chemistry; ISO 9001 auditor certification.
