Hardware / Refurbishment Technician
Are you passionate about diagnosing, repairing, and restoring technology? DukaLOCO is looking for a skilled Hardware / Refurbishment Technician to join our technical team. In this role, you will inspect, repair, refurbish, and prepare laptops, desktops, printers, and other ICT equipment to ensure they meet our quality standards before reaching customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair faults in laptops, desktops, printers, monitors, and other ICT equipment.
- Refurbish and restore devices to company quality standards.
- Install and configure operating systems, software, and device drivers.
- Upgrade hardware components such as RAM, SSDs, batteries, and other peripherals.
- Conduct functionality and quality assurance testing before products are released for sale.
- Maintain accurate repair, refurbishment, and inventory records.
- Identify and report defective components requiring replacement.
- Ensure adherence to company quality, safety, and data security standards.
- Provide technical support and after-sales assistance to customers when required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in computer hardware repair and refurbishment.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience installing operating systems and configuring computer hardware.
- Knowledge of computer networking and peripherals is an added advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
