Kaya Comfort Limited is a purpose-driven consumer goods company focused on redefining everyday hygiene for modern African households. Rooted in comfort, dignity, and care, we manufacture ultra-soft, eco-friendly tissue products – including toilet paper, serviettes, and napkins – from our factory in Molongo, serving homes, hospitality, healthcare, and corporate clients across Kenya. We are growing our production team and looking for a hands-on Factory Operations Coordinator to help us maintain quality and efficiency on the factory floor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Planning

– Develop and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet output targets; monitor line performance and adjust plans in response to demand changes, machine availability, or raw material supply.

Quality Control Supervision

– Oversee quality checks at every stage of the production process to ensure all tissue, serviette, and napkin products meet Kaya Comfort’s standards; identify defects, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Materials Management & Planning

– Manage the flow of raw materials and consumables to ensure uninterrupted production; coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to track stock levels, raise purchase requisitions, and minimise waste or shortages.

Occupational Safety Adherence

– Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety regulations on the factory floor; conduct routine safety checks, enforce the use of PPE, report hazards, and promote a culture of safety among all production staff.

REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED INDUSTRY BACKGROUND

Candidates must have proven, hands-on factory floor experience in at least one of the following industries:

  • Tissue & toilet paper manufacturing – e.g. tissue converting, roll winding, embossing, or packaging lines.
  • Serviettes & napkins manufacturing – e.g. folding, converting, printing, or packaging of away-from-home or consumer paper napkin products.

General Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience working on a production or manufacturing floor.
  • Solid understanding of production processes, line operations, and quality control principles.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and safety procedures.
  • Comfortable operating machinery and performing manual handling tasks throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing consistent, high-quality output.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude.
  • Proficiency in basic production data recording (paper-based or digital).
  • Relevant health and safety certification is an advantage.
