ABOUT US.
Bottle Logistics EA. Ltd. specializes in efficiently recovering industrial and post-consumer glass waste and processes it into highly refined glass cullet, glass aggregate and clean reusable bottles for respective brand owners. We build strong collaborations across the value chain ensuring high recovery rates of the glass waste in its best form. We recover and recycle all hollow glass bottles and glass jars. These include wine and spirit glass bottles, water glass bottles, cosmetic glass bottles and glass jars.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on, and detail-oriented Production Supervisor to join our team at Bottle Logistics East Africa Limited. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the washing, quality control, packaging, and distribution of reusable glass bottles. The role focuses on supervising machine operations (including boiler, rinser, dryer, and washing line equipment), developing and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), optimizing production output, and ensuring that high quality, safety, and environmental standards are consistently maintained throughout the production process.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Planning & Operations.
· Develop, implement, and monitor daily, weekly, monthly production schedules to meet production targets.
· Monitor the efficiency of the production process, optimizing for throughput, quality and waste reduction.
· Co-ordinate and supervise daily production operations across washing, quality control, packaging and distribution functions to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.
· Develop, implement, review and update production SOPs to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with operational requirements.
· Monitor production performance and output and identify gaps in the production process to increase efficiencies.
· Ensure all finished products and packaging consistently meets customer’s specifications and internal quality standards.
· Optimize production processes by effectively managing resources, minimizing waste and improving productivity.
· Ensure all production machinery and equipment are properly operated and well-maintained.
· Establish, implement and enforce health, safety and environmental protocols and ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.
Machine Operations & Equipment Management.
· Oversee and directly supervise operation of key production machinery including: Boiler systems (steam generation for washing process), Bottle rinser and dryer machines, Bottle washing lines and RO (Reverse Osmosis) water treatment system.
· Ensure proper startup, operation, monitoring, and shutdown of all machinery.
· Monitor boiler pressure, temperature, water levels, and fuel efficiency to ensure safe and efficient operation.
· Oversee operation of the RO plant to ensure consistent supply of treated water.
· Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of boiler systems to reduce downtime.
· Report equipment malfunctions promptly and coordinate repairs.
· Maintain machine operation logs and production records.
· Ensure operators are properly trained on equipment use and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of a Diploma in Production Management, Manufacturing, Industrial or Food Technology or a related field.
· Minimum of a B- in K.C.S.E and a B plain in Mathematics.
· Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role preferably having worked in a pack house, FMCG or in the manufacturing industry.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Ms Word, Ms PowerPoint.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication skills and organization skills.
Gross Salary – 40,000 per month.
