Accurate Steel Mills Ltd. is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Human Resources to lead our HR function and align people strategies with our business goals. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors and a passion for building high‑performance, engaged teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and systems aligned with organizational objectives.
Oversee recruitment, selection, talent management, and succession planning for technical and leadership roles.
Ensure compliance with Kenyan labor laws, regulatory requirements, occupational health and safety standards, and internal HR policies.
Drive performance management processes, including goal‑setting, appraisals, and capability development.
Lead employee relations initiatives, manage grievances, and work closely with union representatives where applicable.
Develop training and development programs to enhance skills, productivity, and leadership capability.
Administer compensation, benefits, overtime structures, and incentive programs to maintain competitive and fair rewards.
Build a positive organizational culture through engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and workforce communication.
Use HR analytics to track and report on workforce metrics, turnover, attendance, and productivity trends.
Maintain accurate HR records, reporting frameworks, and support management with data‑driven insights.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field; Master’s degree is an added advantage.
8-15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role—preferably in manufacturing, steel, or heavy industry.
Strong knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and experience managing unionized labor environments.
Proven experience in organizational development, performance management, and strategic HR planning.
Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in HRIS/ERP systems and HR analytics tools.
