Job Title: Graphic Design Intern (Paid)
Department: Brand & Creative
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Reports To: Brand & Creative Manager
Contract Type: Internship
Role Purpose
To support the Brand & Creative Team with day-to-day design tasks, creation of visual assets, and execution of brand materials across digital and print platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing marketing and communication materials (digital & print)
- Execute layouts and graphic assets according to brand guidelines
- Support development of social media content and campaign assets
- Prepare and export files for production/use across various platforms
- Assist with basic motion graphics or GIF creation when required
- Maintain and organize design files and resources
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas
Skills & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Visual Communication, or related field
- Basic proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Familiarity with Canva; interest in learning Figma/After Effects is a plus
- Good understanding of design principles (typography, color, layout)
- Creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
- Good communication & teamwork skills
- Portfolio (academic or personal projects) required
