Background
African Association Management Company (AFAMCO), in partnership with the Global Healthcare Academy (GHA), is implementing a high-impact capacity-building program for the Kenyan medical market. The initiative focuses on strengthening healthcare delivery through international training, university partnerships, hospital engagement, and coordinated trainee cohorts to India.
To operationalise this collaboration and deliver against ambitious targets within a defined timeframe, AFAMCO seeks to recruit a results-driven Program Manager (Part-Time) to lead implementation, coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
Purpose of the Role
The Program Manager will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of the GHA–AFAMCO Kenya Medical Capacity Building Program. The role is execution-heavy, stakeholder-facing, and time-bound, designed for a professional who thrives on targets, partnerships, and structured program delivery. Simply put: this role turns strategy into outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Management & Delivery
• Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of the Kenya Medical Capacity Building Program
• Ensure delivery of three (3) trainee cohorts (six trainees per cohort) between March and July 2026.
• Coordinate program timelines, milestones, and reporting in line with the signed MoU.
• Track performance against agreed targets and proactively course-correct where needed.
2. University Partnerships
• Identify, engage, and negotiate collaboration agreements with two (2) medically aligned Kenyan universities.
• Facilitate institutional buy-in for access to GHA programs.
• Coordinate approvals, documentation, and onboarding processes.
3. Hospital Engagement
• Lead outreach and negotiations with Kenyan hospitals.
• Secure participation agreements with three (3) hospitals to support the program.
• Maintain strong institutional relationships throughout the program lifecycle.
4. Trainee Recruitment & Coordination
• Oversee marketing, recruitment, and selection of African trainees.
• Ensure compliance with eligibility criteria and program requirements.
• Coordinate participant logistics, including communication, scheduling, and pre-departure preparation.
5. Stakeholder Liaison & Coordination
• Act as the primary interface for AFAMCO and the Program.
• Coordinate closely with GHA on curriculum scheduling, trainee intake, and certification.
• Participate in bi-weekly review meetings and provide structured progress updates.
6. Administration, Compliance & Reporting
• Ensure compliance with Kenyan regulatory and administrative requirements.
• Maintain accurate program records, agreements, and participant documentation.
• Prepare concise progress reports and post-program summaries.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Two (2) signed university partnership agreements
• Three (3) signed hospital participation agreements
• Successful delivery of three (3) trainee cohorts to India
• On-time program delivery within the March–September 2026 period
• High stakeholder satisfaction (GHA, universities, hospitals, trainees).
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in program management, preferably in healthcare, education, or
international training programs.
• Demonstrated experience working with universities, hospitals, or professional training institutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to deliver results in fast-paced, target-driven environments.
