Job Title: Farm Supervisor – Embu Farm
Location: Embu County, Kenya
Salary: KES 30,000 – 35,000 per month
About the Role:
Keitt Exporters Ltd is hiring a Farm Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at our avocado farm in Embu. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in avocado farming and strong leadership skills to manage a small farm team efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage avocado crop cycles including planting, maintenance, and harvesting
- Implement pest control, pesticide, fertiliser, and fertigation programs
- Maintain farm infrastructure and equipment
- Monitor and improve crop yields
- Supervise farm workers and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Prepare daily activity and production reports
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in avocado farming
- Strong knowledge of pests, pesticides, fertilisers, and crop nutrition
- Good understanding of harvesting schedules and crop management
- Basic computer literacy (email, Excel, reports)
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Valid driver’s licence
- Must be willing to relocate and live full-time on the farm in Embu
