Ecohub Services Limited is a leading provider of professional Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) services across East Africa. As we expand our footprint in the construction industry, we are looking for a competent and passionate EHS Officer to support an ongoing construction project in Kitui County.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor the project-specific EHS Management Plan.
Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
Ensure proper use of PPE, safe work procedures, and enforcement of health and safety protocols.
Conduct EHS inductions, toolbox talks, and training for workers and subcontractors.
Report and investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices; maintain accurate documentation.
Liaise with site supervisors, contractors, and regulatory bodies (e.g. DOSHS, NEMA) on EHS matters.
Compile daily, weekly and monthly EHS reports for submission to the project manager and head office.
Support environmental monitoring and implementation of waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in EHS supervision on construction sites.
Certification in NEBOSH IGC, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of Kenyan occupational safety and environmental regulations.
Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Willingness to be based on-site full-time in Kitui County.
