Position: Commercial Manager

About the Role:
The Commercial Manager will plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise all Commercial Sales activities, including Fuel and LPG commercial, bulk, and Retail sales, Lubricant sales, and other Business diversification. He/She will have close contact with the market and ensure the company’s customer service delivery and product lines sales performance is optimized in line with Pacific Petroleum Limited’s Strategic Plan, and ensure the Commercial Department’s scorecard requirement is achieved
Key Responsibilities:
1) Prepares sales targets for all the product lines and agrees with the respective sales team on specific action plans to achieve the targets and ensure delivery of the commercial department-approved scorecard.
2) Prospect for bulk fuel, LPG, and Lubricant customers, close to supply, and ensure retention of existing company customers.
3) Identify potential for new retail sites, acquire and develop, and launch the new stations to promote the company’s Retail sales and image.
4) Ensure efficiency of internal business processes, including fully executed KYC, Approved credit terms, and compliance with all sales and operations procedure manuals.
5) Ensure compliance to the commercial department expense budget and work to ensure the department budget is optimizes and ensure timely debt collection.
6) Design product lines, specific promotions, and successfully implement programs through the Sales Team.
7) Train and mentor the Sales Team through practical demonstrations and visits to each of the product’s markets to ensure successful implementation of the company’s marketing initiatives and motivate teams to achieve results.
8) Measure actual Sales Team performance through performance review tools and regularly advise on areas of improvement
9) Follow up and close out market and company site issues related to standards, customer complaints, and safety.
10) Any other role assigned by line supervision.
Job Requirements
- 10 Years experience in Sales and Marketing, preferably in the oil and Gas industry.
- Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business, Petroleum or equivalent
- Training in Oil and Gas related courses is an added advantage
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a strategic thinker and have strong negotiation skills
- Possess a collaborative mindset and work well as part of a team
- Superior time management abilities and capable of meeting deadlines
- Office Administration and Team Leadership Skills are required.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and industry contacts
