Finance Manager – Kilifi County

We are looking for a sharp, seasoned, and solutions-driven Finance Manager to join our leadership team in Kilifi County. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in the real estate or property development space, with the ability to oversee multiple financial verticals such as cash tlow management, budgeting, forecasting, P&l ownership, and financial modelling. Strong knowledge of tax-efficient structuring and the ability to guide legal and regulatory compliance, including land transactions and corporate governance, is critical. This is a strategic and hands-on role that calls for someone ready to shape the financial backbone of Green Heart Kilifi as we expand our impact.

1. Finance Leadership & Strategy

  • Translate organizational strategy into finance strategy, policies, and processes
  • Develop and maintain relevant financial policies and internal controls
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team-including recruitment, performance, and growth
  • Oversee cash flow strategy, forecasting, and financial scenario planning
  • Take ownership of P&L performance and financial sustainability across departments

2. Financial Reporting & Cashflow

  • Oversee consistent, accurate accounting practices across the organization
  • Ensure timely monthly close-offs and preparation of management reports
  • Maintain and monitor cashflow forecasts and liquidity position
  • Execute cash preservation and investment strategies
  • Oversee statutory and special audits and coordinate financial year-end closing

3. Legal, Compliance & Tax Structuring (NEWLY EXPANDED)

  • Provide strategic guidance on legal structuring, including JV agreements, land sales, and development contracts
  • Monitor changes in regulatory and tax environments and ensure full compliance with statutory obligations
  • Oversee filings, submissions, and renewals with KRA, NSSF, NHIF, and regulatory bodies
  • Maintain an updated compliance calendar and ensure deadlines are met

• Liaise with legal counsel, county offices, and auditors on all risk, compliance, and transactional matters

4. Operational Excellence

  • Ensure strong checks and balances across finance and organizational processes
  • Build and maintain budgeting systems across departments and monitor actuals vs forecasts
  • Oversee billing, collections, payables, and cash disbursements
  • Improve financial systems, tools, and reporting frameworks to support data-driven decisions

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • CPA(K), ACCA, or MBA qualification required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a complex finance environment, including people management (preferably real estate)
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, accounting standards, and tax regulations
  • Skilled in financial modelling, forecasting, and use of accounting/payment software
